One thing I have learned from being a Bloomington Newborn Photographer is that not only is photography a work of art, but your baby is too. Every little perfectly formed detail, the way they curl up so naturally- I’m always taken aback by the beauty of it all. And being a “baby-led” newborn photographer, I’ve learned to really sit back and observe each baby throughout their session.
Photographing My Nephew!
This newborn session was a special session to photograph because he is my nephew! His beautiful mama is my sister-in-law, and she and Josh recently welcomed their first baby, their son, Christopher. He was so sleepy throughout his session, but we did manage to get some awake photos of him at the very end. Mom really wanted a mix of both, so I was thrilled he woke up at the end. I find this is usually the case. So if you’re a parent wanting both sleep and awake photos, know that we can usually make it happen!
Christine chose a beautiful dusty blue dress from our studio wardrobe and looked absolutely beautiful. Their entire session was filled with so much joy. Christopher loved holding on to their fingers, snuggling up on their chest, and even gave me quite a few smiles throughout his session. It’s safe to say this sweet boy won over his Aunt Lindsay!
