Despite being colder than we expected, this maternity session at Flat Fork Creek Park in Fishers, Indiana was so much fun to photograph. Stephanie and Eric were so excited to document this special time before the arrival of their first child, baby boy Ledger! You can see the joy all over their faces, and being able to ensure they have these memories for them to hold onto forever was truly an honor.
Hair and Makeup + Wardrobe
Before heading over to Flat Fork Creek Park, Stephanie came to my studio here in Fishers for hair and makeup. Adding this service into my client’s portrait experience has been such a blessing. Seeing a Mama come in, sit down and relax. and allow herself to be pampered is really exciting to witness. I know first hand that it’s not a choice we make easily for ourselves, so I make it for them!
After hair and makeup, Stephanie had a chance to try on some of her favorite dresses from our studio wardrobe. She ended up choosing a white lace overlay dress and looked absolutely stunning in it.
Stephanie and Eric didn’t mind one bit that it was cold. They were present, soaking up every moment of this season, and their patience led to the most beautiful golden sun-drenched portraits.
This was just the beginning of documenting their growing family as First Year Collective members. I cannot wait to document baby Ledger’s first year!
